Overview
Leadership and admin members can send short pop-up messages (announcements) to remind chapter members about events, location changes, or other time-sensitive info. Announcements can be created via web or mobile app.
Key Highlights
Quick Creation: Tap the + icon in the Announcements tab on web or mobile.
Duration Control: Set start and end dates for how long the announcement displays.
SMS vs. In-App: SMS announcements cannot be edited or deleted after sending; in-app announcements can be edited or removed any time.
Archive Access: View past announcements under Communicate > Announcements > Archived on the website.
How to Get Started
In MCR Web or Mobile, go to Communicate > Announcements.
Tap the + icon to create a new announcement.
In the pop-up, enter your message and select Start Date and End Date.
(Optional) Toggle Send as SMS to also deliver via text.
When sending SMS messages, messages over 160 characters will be truncated and emojis removed. The full message will be shown in MCR with emojis.
Click Send to post the announcement.
Pro Tip: Use concise messages and clear dates so members immediately understand the announcement.

Q: Can I edit an announcement after sending?
A: Only non-SMS announcements can be edited or deleted; SMS announcements cannot be changed once sent.
Q: Where can I view past announcements?
A: On the web, under Communicate > Announcements > Archived.
Q: How long will announcements pop up?
A: Active announcements display once per day between the start and end dates you set.
Q: Who sees SMS icons?
