House Directors are Important References with access to limited features within MCR while keeping them informed of chapter activity.


To add a House Director, you will need to first add them as an Important Reference following the usual steps which can be found here. VP-Facility Operations is copied on this message, and will need to coordinate with an admin leader to add the House Director. 


Once you have added them as an Important Reference you will need to immediately change their Membership Status to “House Director” so that the appropriate permissions are given.  Note: If this step is not done, your new house director will have admin access.


The House Director Membership Classification will give the following permissions within MCR: 


My Profile 

  • Main information (similar to Important References) 

Engage

  • View calendar 

  • Create private events

  • Create personal appointments

  • Edit/Delete own private events & personal appointments 

Connect

  • View all rosters 

  • View specific auto-groups 

    • Live-in/in-house, leadership, important references

  • Create, view, or delete own personal & closed groups 

  • View closed & admin groups they are a part of 

Communicate

  • Compose new mail to the following ONLY: 

    • Important References, leadership, live-in/in-house members or personal & closed groups 

    • They can receive mail but only if the member types in their name specifically (they are not apart of any group)

  • View active and archived announcements sent to them 

  • Sign-up on active sign-up sheets

  • View/Answer questions sent to them 

  • View/Answer surveys sent to them 

  • View/Answer forms sent to them 

Collaborate

  • Create new project with important references, leadership, or live-in/in-house members as collaborators 

  • Manage own projects 

  • View & collaborate projects shared with them 

  • View shared documents & folders 

  • View starred files & folders 

  • View recently used files & folders 

Resources

  • View resources shared with them 


**If you have a House Director who is also serving your chapter in another capacity, such as an advisor, or who you prefer to have the same permissions as all Important References, you can keep their status as an Important Reference with an assigned advisor role under Chapter Info.
