MyChapterRoom has various Membership types for you to classify Members/Users who are a part of your MyChapterRoom. The various Membership types auto-generate into specific groups to be used within MCR.
Active New Member: This is the classification used for Members before they are initiated into your organization. By keeping New Members as a separate classification you can invite them to specific events that pertain to them, such as New Member meetings, while also protecting information regarding ritual. New Members will still have positive points/participation tracked and once New Members are initiated they should be moved to an Active Lifetime Member.
Active Lifetime Member: This classification covers all collegiate Members who have been initiated and are participating in chapter activities. The vast majority of your collegiate Members will have the “Active Lifetime Member” designation. Positive points/participation will be tracked.
Alumnae Members: When a Member graduates or leaves your university, they should be marked as an Alumnae Member as they are still Members of your organization in good standing.
Resigned Member: If a Member remains at your university, but leaves your organization, they are a resigned Member. This status indicates that they are not a Member in good standing with your organization.
Released New Member: If a New Member withdraws from the chapter prior to initiation into the organization, they should be marked as a Released New Member.
Financially Suspended Member: If a Member has not paid their dues according to the expectations outlined in your bylaws, and you must suspend their activity within the chapter you should also suspend them from MCR. Once a Member is back in good standing with the chapter, a chapter administrator can chat in and MCR Client Services will move the Member back to Active Lifetime Member for you.
Participation Exempt Member: Participation Exempt Members are those Lifetime Members who do not have any attendance requirements to maintain their good standing with the organization. By marking a Member as participation exempt they will retain access to MCR and chapter information. Some examples may include members who are; studying abroad, on medical leave, recruitment counselors, etc
